Lullabies
nights hum
sometimes cause insomnia,
but they bring out
stars.
Stars,
hazy, lazy,
fleeting, glossing, flickering
wink in the expanse
above .
Winkers.
Winkers
blink till morning,
when God empties the sky
and paints a brighter star in it;
the sun.
